No Reading With SEF On Patrick Internal Meter?

Critter, I have Patricks meter where the speaker is on my GT. I like it there, but when I use the SEF 12 x10 coil there is no read out of the target on the meter. When you use the 12x10 coil do you get a readout on your Minelab 180 meter. Thanks for your reply, GH,

Yes, I get a reading on my meter but I have read that that internal meter won't report IDs with an SEF. I wonder why? There shouldn't be a reason for it to work with external meters but not the internal one. Only thing off the top of my head I can think of is that there are two grounds in the pinout of Sovereign coils and on some coils they don't use both grounds. From memory when I fixed my 12x10 only one ground was used. Anybody else have any further information on this?

SEF coils will not register on the meter. I know. I had three meter mods and two SEF coils. I made Joe aware of this when he was modding one of mine. He was unable to come up with an answer because he had no SEF coil to test with.
