Noisey Explorer se pro

Hi can any one help me I have just bought a second hand explorer se pro it has a constant back ground noise, is that normal? I have tried the noise cancel with no successes.

Not to seem insulting...but your not talking about the threshold hum are you?

Hi, I think you're right, it is the threshold hum but how loud should the hum be? it does not change with the volume its much worst with headphones on its hard to hear targets [sub][/sub]

Just tried it very happy found 2 old English coins just as it was getting dark, I will read the Explorer book tonight.
