Nokta FORS CoRe ground balance?

If you put it in auto tracking do you still have to ground balance detector?
No, technically not because the FORS CoRe has a very quick-acting auto-tracking circuitry. Of course there is no harm done by taking a moment to bob the search coil a few times from 6" to 1" and then get underway.

Personally, I only use Auto-Tracking on a beach, a wide-open plowed field or large grassy park ... IF there are not a lot of targets being encountered, and NEVER when a site has a fair amount of ferrous junk. I did, however, work a few sites, with sparse targets but changing ground minerals, with the FORS using the tracking GB and it worked quite well. Great engineering went into this detector design.
