non motion audio disc

HI GUYS
i have been reading about this mode getting more depth. i guess if you were to use it, it would be in a clean area free from allot of trash.

does any one use it, and how deep can you find coins ? useing a 9in. coil. and can it be used on a minerialsed site??

also is it easy to setup and keep stable, while in the field.

sorry that no one has gotten back to you on this. i can't help you out as i cannot figure out how to use it at all... when i switch to it the machine just screams and screams and i can't figure out how to make it stop,....

i found a you tube with a cool old man and he is a pisser!! he calls it the squealer mode and shows how to setup. but now i here its a real pain ,because you need to

stay on top of it to keep it in tune. and it only will be good (i think) on a clean site. not yet tried but wen i do i will post some feed back on this. the deus has allot of

things to try and this is also good,, wen setting up 4 different sites

I am interested in trying the all metal mode also. I saw the YouTube videos as well and am perplexed. The user mentions the detector's depth increasing in non motion all metal mode but he also seems to swap back to the stock programs. From what I understand the (nmamm) strips away the program settings and renders the detector "wide open". Is that the general consensus? Also, when using nmamm you have to fiddle with the settings more often to ensure ground balance is correct. Can't wait to try this. I looked through "the book" and now see the modes discussed. Ha! The handbook that comes with the detector discusses this mode of operation on page 21. Due to the unstable and loud operation of the detector in nmamm it would seem best to not use it in a trashy park so fields and pasture would be ideal. Can't wait to get back out and try the additional features. Hoping for some rain to soften the ground up a bit.

I've used the nmamm modes a couple times now with mixed results. I have found non-ferrous metal but it's deep scraps of aluminum and barbed wire. As with most things metal detecting if it (coins, buttons etc.) ain't there it just ain't there. The nmamm modes do seem to require constant monitoring if you plan on using them. I think it might be best to use the modes as a backup to the motion modes if a questionable signal is discovered. I am still going to use them though. I live in the southeast United States.

I have a place where I suspect some 10" plus coins lie - next step before the software upgrade would be to lower GB settings or try out this NMAMM approach. Need to read and view some of the videos - I don't think it will help with small foil balls at 7", but I'd like to put it to the test soon enough...need a little more rain to try this out...and hopefully no one buys my detector

Yeah man. I was this | | close to buying yours before you moved to Colorado! The nmamm audio disc takes some extra time to get right first time I used it the detector was screaming! Calling for 2-4" of rain in NETN today (10-3-15) but I am still going to go out. Hate to spend another weekend w/o detecting.

Im trying out the "Squealer Mode" tonight where I've found some deep coins recently - the ground is nice and saturated, and the area has been almost completely picked clean of everything, iron included, down to about 6-7" or so.

Will be trying both the Non motion audio disc and non motion disc modes - the former uses a kind of "Full tones" when you get over a non-ferrous target, if it's iron the tone won't rise in pitch if I understand it correctly.

The non motion discrimination mode allows you to set Disc like you would in a Motion mode (regular detecting), so what I'm hoping happens is that iron can be almost completed discriminated but non ferrous items come through. Anything non-ferrous dropped 1940 and earlier I am interested in...in the age before aluminum...

Seems like for this place you have to dig almost everything with a wide open screen first to clear the way for the squealer mode to work its magic - I hope to pull some very old items tonight!
