...our plant mgr.told us at the meeting this morning this came right outta left field-COMPLETELY unexpected...he told us Ford-our main customer-has no clue as to whats goin on-he said he told the new owner"hold onto yer shorts when Ford gets wind of this;'cause they are gonna be MAD"-Our contract with them is worth in the $20's millions,another year on the contract....The union said they are going to go into negotiations with the head Co. on closure severance......I also talked to HR at my work today about my possible L-shoulder surgery;she said all they are waitin for is the surgeon'sreport(will see him on the 21st);I will be completely taken care of by workman's comp till im released by them.We will be gettin 72 weeks of unemployment;I will have my 401K to get 1st of year to pay things off;soon as Im over this surgery if I need it;LOTS of ;M/C ridin;spendin time up north in my travel trailer in Presque Isle;
AND will DEFINITELY be goin to that old beach club after Labor Day-
YES Im gonna enjoy my time off to some extent......I mentioned to a union rep at work this morniong if it would help,I would cry....he asked me if I had kids at home,I said no,and he said"then you wont have to go home and tell your kids Daddy is losing his job;and watch them cry out of fear over whats gonna happen to them"....:sad:

Sorry to hear, but know God will take care of ypu by leaning on and trusting in Him! Many are out of work now, but like you were told you don't have to tell the little ones daddy is out of work and worry them, for most will not understand until there's no money to buy food and pay the bills! May God be with them everyone and help provide for them and give them godly wisdom and guidance so they will be able to find another job! The Chrysler Plant here in Fenton, MO will be closing and are telling all their dealers to shut down and also Ford has done the same with all their dealerships! Wonder what they will do with all those cars they have or had on their lots??? Will cars go higher or be cheaper if and when needed??? Going to get worse folks before it gets better and only through prayer will it be better for those who trust in Jesus! God Bless! Betty
