my french girl aint giving me no loving …. had her out two times and I am lost how many numbers can tabs come up .. like from 53 to 64 + on my v3i u can count on like three being tabs ….now yes its only the second date i know i went to a forbidden soccer field " at 4am-530am did the sidelines dug 10 tabs three dimes could of dug more if the numbers are true one quarter didn't dig any 70's numbers my gold rings air tested at 47-52 and 63-70 on 1 basic so frec.12 didn't want to make to many holes… just trying to see if this girl will put out or not … it was dark and i forgot my glasses so couldn't see the menu very well …so didn't try for any feels… i pushed the wrong button and was having sounds all over the place couldn't see so didn't know what i did…LOL I hate old age... i need andys book i wish the guy would of sent it with the dang detector …. i don't except i forgot when i 'm flipping the bill……. went to the beach from 10pm-3am with the excalibur i think the blue hairs got it all cleaned out before i got there LOL three bottle caps a pair of sunglasses a copper washer "thought it was a gold ring Nope!!!! so right now don't feel the love and nothing i dug with the deus was below 3-4 in. i'll take my test stuff out to the ball field and put it in the dirt and see what she sounds like…. she better start putting out or where not gonna get along…..

First of all the deus is not a cherry picking machine. A minelab CTX or etrac would be better for that. Sounds like you don't want to dig tabs. Guess what? One who doesn't dig tabs will miss gold every time and some class rings also.

You may want to add more disc to start maybe even 30 or so to you get use to it..you will still find targets if you are not hunting in a lot of iron

squirrel1 is right on the money. The Deus has a terrific discriminator but it's not that good at discriminating between similar targets like the Minelabs. You're just going to dig more questionable targets. From all the hype I thought the full tone option on the Deus could allow it to run with the etrac or CTX in MC or 50 Co but it ain't going to happen. I think the tones are too fast to transmit the tonal information necessary to make that type of instinctive decision. In 2,3,4 or 5 tone it's a different story but then you don't have the VDI numbers or the Smartscreen numbers of the Minelabs.
I think you have to appreciate that they are different animals that have their own special traits and have expectations that match the specific uses and locations.

you know i dig just about all good tones i have found rings at 41 ,55, 63, in 12 kHz also tabs at that so if it sounds good i dig … but yet have not found any silver …. nothing below 1965 … i know this school is 130 y/o so just getting to the deep stuff been working on the settings some… trying to hear the whispers for deep stuff… and where the old field was not sure yet .. some where there old stuff….. i did find one spot where the sprinkler heads where under ground 1 foot so someone has put dirt over the good stuff can't dig more than 12" don't want to get kicked out …. i have two new machines the atx and the deus… so been having fun .. and sold the ctx it took a month to get use to and still learning the v3i so my mined is all f---- up …. LOL life is good and i will do well with all machines i have time….. i'm only 52 LOL

I am loading a video I did today I made .I was not getting the depth I felt I needed so I made some changes and tested on a 10 inch US Dime.I was able to pick the dime up and then some after a few tweeks.I will post the video as soon as its done Loading.Hope it helps someone.
