Not sure how this is going to turn out but trusting God..

Have worked for this hotel for over a year (July) and today we finally got our sign up on the building. Was a Quality Inn before. I finally got the sign painted and put it up today,

A great day to have a name finally on the building.

As mentioned awhile back the bank took over the hotel. During the past week we have had a lot of Middle Eastern people in the building. It appears the selling of the hotel will happen soon and be under new management. Where that leaves any of us is unsure. We do have several other hotels in the area and 3 are now owned by Middle Eastern owners. If this goes through this will be #4 with only one other hotel left belonging to an American. Other businesses are changing hands as well. One is a party store. So our area is starting to be owned by foreigners who don't even have to pay taxes on their businesses for 5 years...at which time they change hands to a family member who doesn't have to pay taxes for 5 years then repeats itself.

I have heard that some of the previous hotels when bought out just fired all the present staff and started from scratch. So not sure how this is going to be. Monday I am told will be decision day...and the boss is already lining up a rental truck to haul away his furnishings, etc. so sounds like a done deal to me.

Heard that the person who is going to buy this place owns a medical college in Taiwan or was it the Philippines? The boss said this might be better for us all as the new owners would be able to spend money for repairs, etc that he could not do and provide us with more hours of work. So we just don't know. More work or fired?

It is in God's hands whichever way it goes. Not sure I want to work for Middle Eastern people - I may have little choice as jobs are hard to find. I am in Your Hands Lord. Lead the way. Thank you and praise and glory to God. In Jesus name. Amen

Well, Pete, pray and pray, keep the faith and hold your head high for Jesus. This may be a way God would have you to have a more steady job with more money and be a witness to those who need Jesus as their personal Savior, also! Any way, as you say, It is in His hands and as a Child of His, He will meet your needs and be with you always as long as you love, worship and follow on His straight and narrow pathway and doing good unto others!

Looks like America is going to the foreigners and there will be changes as BO has said and is still saying! May the Lord bless and keep you held in His loving arms and give you favor in whatever you do and Shrerry, Casey and grandson, too! Amen! God Bless! Betty

As you know, I'm working at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites while I'm not teaching. I work the front desk, am the relief auditor, the guest relations manager, and general "do it all'er." The hotel is owned by Nanda Patel. Her husband is a cardiologist in the same city as the hotel. She also owns another hotel about 35 miles away, and holds the option to build one more hotel around 50 miles away. The Patel's are from India. I tell ya! She is something else!!! She thinks of her employees as her servants and we mean absolutely nothing to her. She pretends that we do, but then turns around and treats us like crap on a consistent basis. On top of that, she is bipolar and we never know which Nanda we're going to experience when she walks through the door. She says and does off the wall things all the time and has the craziest ideas. She has the general manage, Michael, under her thumb and so much to the point that he treats us almost as bad as she does. There are 5 other hotels here on what we refer to as "Hotel Row" and all of them are owned by foreigners but I'm not sure what nationality, except for the Best Western which is owned by another set of Patels. We hear that Neela Patel (the owner of BW) is the same as Nanda - a tyrant! They just have a completely different culture, belief system, and way of thinking. If a person has never worked for someone like this, they just don't know what they are missing! :-(

My mom use to work for a doctor from India and he was the same way Lisa. Any time he talked to her she had to reply with yes doctor, that use to make me so mad she would say that a 1000 times a day.
No matter what though GOD is in control . Who knows they may be good to work for , Hang in ther PETE.

The Patels must be synonamous with Hotels and Motels, liquor stores and 7/11's. Because here in Western, MA. they are doing the same thing. Natu Patel is one of the owners, don't know the other names, aren't they from India? Praying for you Pete, just let God be God. Ron

America, as we know it, is being taken over by special interest, foreigners, big drug companies, and the federal government Surely it's not the same country it was when most of us were kids. So sad.

Lots of foreigners in the Medical Field also! My doctor is an Indian but don't know if he was raised in the USA or India! He is a nice doctor (but a pill pusher) and was kind to Cliff and is kind to me! He has Christian scriptures displayed on large, beautiful scenic pictures in his waiting room.....sooo I believe with all my heart that he is a born-again Christian!

I heard and read that foreigners are taking over businesses down South and all over the United States but when they wanted to build a syngogue in one Florida neighborhood the people rose up and stopped them! If the owners who sell cannot discriminate against them then there isn't much they or we can do about it, especially, with BO and liberals in power! They have been taking over for years and years, as the rich Shieks and etc. have been buying expensive property and land and building their own mosques and synagogues and mansions to worship and live in! It is true people so what can we do but pray that God will forgive us for our sins and heal our land and/or save those who will be saved and then send Jesus to catch us up and take us out of this old sinful world!
