Now that I figured out how to post pics...

Here's another find from the construction site. Found this last weekend. Not really old I dont think, but it made my heart skip when I found it. It was found in the space between parked construction equipment.

That's pretty cool too, JT. I just hunted a site a couple of weeks ago and found an 1890, some odd year medallion, and it was a site where they tore down some old houses and plowed em over. I always though the stuff would get buried too deep when they plowed it over, but not always so.

That is a really cool medalian. It almost looks like something that might have come out of Germany during WWII, by the Eagle. I may be way out in left field, but you ought to look it up somewhere on the net or something. Maybe someone on this forum would know what it is.

...Great Seal Button. That's a very nice button...I love them. I've been lucky enough to find 4 of them over the years. Here's a link on it:

Mike, your such a stud. I havn't heard from you in a while and I'm really glad your still visiting the Quatro site now and then. That's some great info and boy was I wrong to think it might have been some kind of German thing. Hope your doing well and loving the Explorer II. Hey, just for kicks, what do you think about the "new" Explorer SE or whatever it is. Forgive me for not knowing the correct model name, but I got on the Explorer site and read some posts on it and it seemed that they still had some "bugs in it", but it looked pretty promising.:| Beachguy, (still one of your biggest fans):| Also, I know that question might conflict with the Quatro site, but I just thought I'd ask.

Mike,
Thanks for that great info! I've enjoyed many of your posts in the beach forum because I also have an Excalibur 1000 and I have to say I've learned a lot from you. I think you're awesome and I'm glad to finally get a chance to tell you that.
Jeff

Actually, I sold the Explorer II and got an SE. I've been out with it a few times and have found some bullets, buttons, wheaties, silver, and even two Large Cents. No bugs in mine. :)

And I sold my Quattro to a buddy I work with. Tomorrow we're going to a 1940 farm house with a bunch of land. I'm thinking the possibility is there for Mercs, maybe a Walking Liberty Half, and a few silver Rosies and quarters hopefully. We'll see. There will be my SE, my buddy's CZ-7a Pro, the Quattro, and Finn55Cats will have her new CZ-70 out there. SOMEBODY'S gonna dig SOMETHING! We'll see.

Gee...thanks. I try to give back when I can. When I first started detecting, the forums were a great source of knowledge to me and I'm still always learning something new from somebody. It's a great thing, having this hobby and this vehicle to share it with folks who can help you as well as those who need your help. Today's clueless newbie will be tomorrow's forum hero. :)

I love when people post the site pictures. Make you feel like you were there.

I agree - Mike is a great guy - Class act I can tell.

Bob

Mike, you know my heart is pounding on that kind of post. Wow, You took the leep of faith to the new SE, and so far so good. That's great to hear, because of some of the semi-scary post's I was reading over on the Explorer II section. I guess this CZ70 is some kind of detector, if you're still raving about it. I've never used one, but if you say it's that good, "I"m listening". I'm glad to hear that finn55cats is still in business and you guys are out there going for it. I wish you could share what you find there, even if you need to put it on the Explorer forum. I'd love to hear how that comes out. It's great to hear from you again, Mike, you're honestly an inspiration to me. Your not just an "Explorer" guy, your an expert detectorist in my eyes, and I always gleen something form your posts. All right there "killer".:| Let let us know somewhere, (either here or on the Explorer forum) how your doin':twodetecting::wiggle::|

"NOT" what???

Somebody DID dig something...I got a wheatie. And so did you. They can't all be full of silver dollars and diamond rings. Some hunt sites just plain suck.

Be thankful for your wheatie. There are people in 3rd world countries that will NEVER have a wheatie to call their own! :nono:
