But, alas, it turned out to be 18k G B. Wife's car is in the shop, so we are taking turns with my Freestyle, so only had a couple of hours of actual swinging time this morning before it was her turn to use it. Not many dug targets and as it turned out, the mini became the best one. Maybe next time on the gold. On the LTD the ring was a lock on 62 and was showing some depth. As it turned out, it was 4" +. When it is my turn with the vehicle again, I may venture out to some sports field and dig every pull tab, nickel and zinc reading........well, for ten minutes or so, and see if I can come up with some real gold. Lets see some good digs from this weekend. HH jim tn

Hey. a ring is a ring.. Still a nice find Jim.......

I'm seriously whalloping the pennies at high school sports fields looking for the big gold class ring..hope you find one, Jim!

Yea, that one did get the old ticker going. Had suspicions right off, but it was full of dirt so I just dropped it in the pill water bottle. When I got home and all the dirt was out of the band, I could tell by the weight all wasn't kosher. Nothing but some clad and zinc's this afternoon. On this particular site I dig a lot of tight reading low numbers and all kinds of non junk stuff comes to light. HH jim tn

I agree with Elton,a ring is a ring. I love finding rings of any kind. yes gold rings are my favorite but........ a ring is a ring!! Nice find find Jim!!

I find more lost Jewelry at my local Sports fields / parks, than I do at the Beach, And I live in Southern California

it appears hunters do not like the hard digging you must do in the sports fields .

but in reallity 99% of my jewerly finds are less than 3 inch's deep,

But you must dig all the aluminum junk to find the jewelry
