I was wondering why I would want to use the 1+ mode. As you can tell, I don't do much any relic hunting and only limited hunting in heavy iron trash. What you say makes sense and as I remember back to past ghost town hunts over the past two years where the iron and steel gave me fits, I can see where this mode would come in handy. I need to go hunting a certain site again.
