Maybe they just ran out and didn't want to hold up deliveries.

Is yours solid or does it have openings to match the coil?

For digging all those deep targets. The Alien Rocks, all others just roll. :wiggle:
 
The newer ones dont have a coil cover the way it looks, but it almost looks like there is one on there dont it? I wonder if the newer ones are made so you dont need a coil cover or cant put one on being it looks like a built in cover.
 
There is a slight crack where the coil is sealed...be nice to have one to cover that....Looking forward to getting out today but it's snowing...Best to all and everybody on the East Coast,stay warm...

The last 6 units I received didn't have them. I guess they stopped issuing them with a new unit.

I did purchase some extra covers if anyone feels they need one.

Are these new T-2 coils the same so that these covers fit? Just wondering as the way the coils are made, thought maybe they made a different coil that will not take a cover.
 
Man...I hope they don't start getting cheat and taking stuff out of the package! No coil cover with that strange new coil...That ain't right? Is it?:hot:
 
Hi Mr.Bill, when I ordered mine at Outdoor Outfitter's they asked me if I wanted to purchase the coil covers too. Of course I did.:thumbup: CU later Mr.Bill and thanks again my friend. God Bless ya.;)

, Fisher, Tesoro, and a few others don't come with covers either. There an optional extra.

When they were finally released to other dealers is when experienced detectorist were able to try one and now they are the talk on most of the forums. I think this shows that when a new detector comes out they should be made available to the people that use a detector often and understand them well as they are the ones that can tell if a detector will do well or a problem with them.
We have seen some great reports by many that are well respected detectorist now that the dealers are able to get them, how many reports did we see when Cabellas only sold them, the reason is they never got in the right hands where it counts.

Sure wish spring will get here as I have many places to try my T-2 to see for myself how great this detector is.
All those that have them and can use them keep the reports coming as it helps us that cant get out understand some of the things we are going to see with the T-2.

Hi Sonny and it is great to meet you. Sonny I am getting mine from Outdoor Outfitters. I didn't know Cabella's carried them. I made my order last Thursday. I'm still waiting for delivery Sonny and I had to order the coil cover seperately. I hope this helped you, so I will CU later and God Bless.
