Hi everyone,
Want to say thanks for the info on cleaning coins. Tried play sand and masoners sand. Didn't work too good. Tried Gardener's pea gravel (Lowe's) and it worked great.
Found lots of coins at Ocean City, Md, and 3 silver rings, but no gold(since 2/9/05). Here's the breakdown if you're interested.

I've had about a dozen detectors, all different brands, and i now have 2. Both Fisher 1266 models, one with an 8" coil and One with a 10" coil.
Iprefer the 10" coil, but sometimes it feels like swinging a bowling ball at the end of the shaft. Will try tomm at 4 am to catch the tide. Hoping for gold! Good luck everyone. Bill Heffernan

Hey Ghost, you might want to try Atlantic City Beach, ita about a 1hr. drive north of Cape May.
Their getting some interesting finds up there.
