I drove on over to Cleveland yesterday to pick up my son and bring him here to surprise his mom for Christmas. I checked the satelite images on Mapquest on the 280 loop around Toledo and saw 3 decent looking schools close to the highway. Whoever is sweeping those is doing a yeomans job! Got maybe a dollar and a few of the dimes. Then, on the 480 loop in Cleveland, I got off at the IX center exit, and just drove north into the neigborhoods there freestylin' and found an old school...banged the rest of this loot along with a Cuyahoga County dog tag. Heavy wet Ohio clay. Total hunting time maybe an hour, 720 miles round trip, hit some fierce snow in Grand Rapids and very icy conditions for some creative driving in the last 40 miles, that took and hour in and of itself. Roads were clear and traffic light for the most part. I'll do it all again on Monday, and try to plot a decent spot in the rich folk suburbs. F70, set on "quick broom" , 1disc, 53sens, -3thresh, de mode, dp tones, 1 notch
I'da called you El, but had no time at all, and you know we woulda wound up on an extended foray! It sure is nice to get out and walk around a little on those long hauls.

Good for you mud. I often make those kinds of stops on my driving trips, too. Fun, something new to check and helps break up a long drive. Merry Christmas to you and your family. HH jim tn

well at least you had toll or coffee money. Such an additiction.

Hey mud nice to know your still swinging,I to hit spots while traveling.I been so busy with work and moving I havnt been able to take advantage of this mild weather..hh rick in mi.

Mud you were definitely in a rich area in Ohio with 16 quarters. If you would have come up in my area you would have had to dig at least 200 pennies for that kind of cash.
That is a good way to break up a long snowy drive.
Hope you all have a great Christmas John..Merry Christmas..... Jerry

Thanks guys...Rick, you moving? Where? Zeek, those q's were just poppin' at that last spot..couldn't keep 'em off the coil!

I drove my son back to Cleveland yesterday, and got off the 145 turnpike exit on the way home. I scoped three schools off of Griswold rd on Mapquest. Beautiful weather, mid 40's and sunny. Hit the first totlot, NOTHING! Swept clean! Went to the edge of the parking area where the teachers park and eyeballed this little 925 italy chain! It will go with that silver butterfly I found up here on Christmas morning, amazing they were 300 miles apart! Whoever is sweeping the totters in Lorain and Toledo OH is really good. Only got a few pennies, dimes and a N..spent about an hour, and made it home by dark.
