I now know that you can set up the GT in DISC. mode manually, my question is Iv been unable to find a clear, simple step by step procedure to do this, including when in the steps to ground balance. I want to get the most out of my machine and have only been hunting in AUTO sens. but realize that more performance can be achieved by manually setting it up.

I actually get it now........ EASY!

withjout going into too much detail i would highly recommend u watch the des dunne video .... just google--- soveriegn gt video by des dunne.... its very informative and will probably answer a few other ???????? you havent even thought of yet...../ hope this helps.......

You only need to ground balance if hunting in All metal. To do that, flip to all metal track and sweep aroound for a few minutes, the flip to fixed. Or, in track mode pump the coil slowly up and down in a clean spot until the threshold stays even or slightly increases as the coil approaches the ground, which will give slightly more depth. Then flip over to fixed. Fixed will give better depth as tracked can track out deep targets. Sens works for all metal or disc, but ground balance only is needed in all metal.
