......................OF TH'ING!! I went to church! The Lord has been dealing with me about attending church more.........REGULARLY!! Normally it is very easy for me to either sleep in or go metal detecting instead! It was Good to attend Church, maybe I"ll join! God moves in mysterious ways! I Should have went to church last Sunday but my Blazer broke down and I had to deal with that problem most of last week!......................GOD BLESS..................Joe
 
Considering I had to lead worship in both services, I didn't have much of a choice :) (That and it being 24 degrees out :))

Always good to be in the house of the Lord. Satan just tries all he can to convince us not to. :)
 
our Pastor went to another church to do a service there while we had a visiting musician (Marty Miller) who has a music ministry came to play music and to honor God. Seemed we were shorthanded. The guys who usually run the sound system and computer system were not there. My wife ran the video camera, her daughter Casey controlled the computer putting the words to the music on the screen so we could sing along and I operated the sound system. We of course having no minister, I started us with a welcome all and a prayer. The lady who was to introduce Marty didn't show up. She usually does the announcements. Yep, I did those things too. Marty played awhile, then I was there for another short prayer for those who had needs and to ask for the offering for the church. Then Marty played some more and I went back to the sound system to cue up his CD of songs he wanted played so he could sing along with them. Then we had an offering asked for to help defray the cost Marty and his son may have and to announce that Marty had some CDs on a table in the back to sell. Then more music and then a final prayer for everyone to be safe until we meet again. Truly a blessed day.

Sure would have turned out a lot different if we would have stayed home because it was too cold outside (-6 below with a windchill driving it to -19 below).

Oh yeah, afterwards I was the janitor.

I don't think I would ever not go to church so I could go detecting instead.

I went to church. My decission was easy because it was zero degrees! :lol:

It is...I hunt all old beaches ; found a 1923 class ring this summer in the ocean floor.
