Heading to an old town tonight to hunt this weekend. It's two separate houses/yards right around the corner from each other that are owned by my family. I have never been in these yards and I'm quite sure that no-one else has either. I was told that I can keep everything that I find, but, Great Grandma lost a gold ring sometime in the past and they would want it back if I found it. I am VERY happy to return it but want some pointers on where to look for it. The houses are very old maybe teen's - thirties and I really want to be the hero here and find it. Any tips, hunches, probabilities etc would be nice. I'll also post what I DO find after the weekend....BIG THANKS GUYS!

I'm excited on a new spot!

If you find the ring it will be in the last place you look for it!!! Seriously, though... Good luck!!!

Could be near an old clothes line, or near where she might have picked or taken care of flowers, or could have been lost somewhere else. unfortunately that's why it's still lost...I'd try places she may have had wet hands (you know how people shake off water to air dry their hands) or the two before mentioned places....Good Luck.

My experience, is if your looking for gold.. dig all pulltab signals and below............im not saying you will find it ..but grid the areas ......and dig all signals ....good luck,,, cant wait to see your post

I would start with a Sun Ray eight inch coil and go smaller if there was much trash.
