I didn't even reach my usual totals this a.m., but I learned a few things about the Ace maybe worth sharing. I was in the jewelry mode with sens. at #3-I can usually size a target quicker at this sens. and since it's newer areas that are continually hunted, the targets aren't very deep. I got a signal that jumped from penny to dime-my first time ever to see that. It's usually from penny to a notch or two lower. It turned out to be this bent silver ring-I'll straighten it out after work. The other ring was found checking pull tab signals where the audio stayed longer-as on nickels-a unique Ace feature. Finally, one of the nickels was found on a dual signal-a jump from nickels to tabs. Turned out to be next to a tab-about an inch away. Not bad for a detector with "bad" recovery. Seems like at lower disc. settings, the recovery speed doesn't make all that much difference-You'll still get ONE signal that will turn into two if the sweep speed is slowed down. Hope this is interesting-no gold!:sadwalk:

I always like getting those weird signals because every once in a while they are something you weren't expecting. I think my favorite notch for this is in between quarter and half (GTI 2500) which is usually something unusual. The notch between dime and quarter is good for this too.

See if your camera has a macro setting. Might clear up your photos a bit. If not take your photo from further away and crop it down.

Unbending rings is fun and easy if you have a steel ring mandrel. I'm saving my jewelry repair for a winter MD project when I get cabin fever.

Nice finds.

Nice finds sling!! Thanks for the info on the ACE! WTG:thumbup:

That was interesting, at least to me. A nice feature of the Ace.
Now go out and get the gold !

Diamond ring in the back thats all bent up?
I wish! It does appear to have some stones, but it's a silver ring. The other dirty one is a cheap imitation of a gold ring and has some pretty blue stones.
