just kidding, just had one of those heartbreaker days. Hit the soccer field at the high school and was doing alright, found the two small sterling ear rings. got aother hit cut a plug and there it was winking up at me a big clear stone, kinda took the breath away for a second or at least it did until I grabbed it. Well, after I got my knees back and ignoring the wifes belly laughs ( probably did look a little funny staring down that hole ) I started working down the middle of the field and finding a bunch of change dug my next hit flipped over the plug and again a nice clear stone looking up at me, this time in the plug. This time I called the wife over to take it out, she even freaked out a little on this one because just the stone was sticking out with a little gold color. after the laughs the wife called me diamond jim the rest of the afternoon. we kept at it another couple hours, more spending change a skull pendant and another junker ring we headed for the car, right at the edge of the parking lot got another good signal and down in the hole was an oval shaped piece of gold, I thought this has got to be real, it was a half of a locket turned it over and could tell it was another fake. Man, what a day.

Don't give up, Lee, as you really done good finding all those goodies! Get the junk ones out of the way and do some more :detecting: in the same areas and I think you will come up with some real gold and possibly "ICE"!! I've found those kind of rings also and they make the heart thump faster for a few minutes until you see what they truly are, but I always was happy anyway just to find something worth keeping! Ya can sell the junk things in a garage or yard sale...won't get much for them, but hey you'll get some do-re-mi to help support your :detecting: habit!  God Bless! Betty

Nice digging I would be happy with all, but the skull pendant any day.:clapping:

I could never give up this great hobby, never know what's in the next hole. I thank the Lord that He gives me breath to go on these adventures.

Nobody, I mean nobody looses anything in Connersville. They are all tightwads. Great hunting Lee. I might have to go out to our high school and do some checking.
