I'm sick of reading all the posts of what someone THINKS the AT Pro will or won't do. No one has one yet other than a few field testers and they evidently aren't talking!! I can't believe how many of you have opinions of the detector when it's not even on the market yet. And you know what they say about opinions......
I have enjoyed the YouTube videos that have been posted and if anyone finds more, keep posting them!! But for the rest of you that are carping and crowing, put a lid on it!!! When you actually have one in your hands, then you can have an opinion!!
 
RESET BUTTON-we only know what we see in literature and videos. Let's discuss our results once we have some! :garrett:
 
The reports that will be coming in November and December I'm sure will be a lot. One must sift out the ones that are true and the ones that are just hype. People like Uncle Willy and John I'm sure will call it like they see it. And not the BB at two foot type of post. I also seen NASA Tom is also excited about the new AT Pro . And am sure he will get his hands on one and give a detailed report on it ..Good or Bad.. He also calls them like it is and in depth on every function of any unit he test. Got to remember there will be a lot of newbies out there with this detector so look for post from those who have been around the hobby for a good many years.
 
It seems that any questions leaning towards possible problems with new metal detectors are countered by dealers guessing or quoting from manufacturer Ads or Commercials. Marketing at its best....just in time for Christmas.

I just pass over them BCD. The vids have been good and the unit should be out by the week end; so you can be put out of your misery.:poke:

I've laid down my cash and have one on pre-order, complete with a set of Grey Ghost underwater headphones. When it arrives at my door, then I'm sure I'll have some opinions of my own. The new 350 has treated me right, and I expect the AT Pro will too. BTW Mick, the 350 can't tell you if it's a scewcap either!! Good hunting, mate!!
 
If I felt that way I'd buy two instead of one! Get up on the other side of the bed tomorrow and see if you feel better. All I have seen and read on the ATPro so far has been good. I had a GTI 2500 that I loved except I have a back injury and it was just too heavy. The Pro may be just what I need. Onus
 
Yeah Garrett finally got the message and made lighter detectors. I love the 2500 but it'shard on my old broken down back.

Wow big deal alot of posts and threads. Thats what mods are for and if they do not remove them then its ok. People are excited big deal let them have fun. Half the fun is the guessing and waiting. So take a pill.
 
Good luck with the Pro and thanks for the heads up on the screw caps. I figured it wouldn't be able to tell when one of the chaps here put up a video of him waiving coins past the coil at various speeds. The 250 can tell you when in pinpoint mode, but the DD won't give you the same info. I was wondering if it would behave like the DD coil on the GTI, but it didn't. (I actually sold my Ace last week, so only have 4 detectors to worry about now. I'll sell the Omega very soon. if I sold one more detector beyond that, there would be room for an AT Pro, but I'm not convinced on them yet. That said, I think that Garrett's have moved in a good direction with it and it'll be interesting to see what gets included in next model of GTI's. If the have the same audio as the AT Pro, then I'd be interested in updating it.

Who told you this? I have heard mid November.

The dealer I ordered them from is making me up a set with the Garrett connector on them. E-mail me at mustang317@verizon.net and I'll give you his name if you want a set. It's not at all like the Excal where they are hardwired into the control housing, they have a waterproof connector.
