Here are some pictures of home. Seeing all the beautiful pictures you posted got me itching to get my camera out today. We went for a nice drive tonight and here are a few pictures I snapped along the way. Sorry for the terrible picture quality. I had to take these down to the worst possible quality to have small enough files to post.

This first picture is a nuisance of a weed, but I think dandelions are so pretty.

This next picture is of my favorite barn on River Road. This is about five miles from our house, as the crow flies.

I just love natural light!

I don't know what could be more country than a man, his dog and his truck. This is Travis with our doberman, Zane.

My final (and I think most adorable pic) is of my lovely four year old. This was taken last fall at Lincoln's Birthplace. Only a few miles from our house.

Great pics, the wife and I love the one of your daughter!

I think the pictures are AWESOME, Liz! Of course your daughter is the most adorable pic! After the one of her, I'm not sure which one I like the best... I like them all! I like dandelions too, and I love all the colors in the background of your dandelion pic. The natural light and the church steeple are among the best too. You did GOOD! Next time you have some more, be sure to post them!

Wow Liz.....nice pics of beautiful colors and scenery! And like others have said your daughter's pic is the most beautiful....she is a gorgeous blue-eyed doll! Dandelions are okay, but not in my yard....have several yellow and white heads popping up now because I am unable to do any weeding this year or not yet anyway! Yours and Lisa's pics remind me of my old home place, as I am or was a country gal, but I've been in the city and county more years than I lived on the farm! Never like farm life....too hard, but love the country woods, trees, creeks, scenery and etc and that's why we traveled back home to the farm out of Bunker, MO and to my ex's old place out of Ellington, MO! We have been to Salem, Cuba, Rolla, and Southeast, South, North, East & West on vacations....so I have fond memories of beautiful places to see and take pics of.....maybe I will post some of mine sometime when I have more time and feel better!

I finally got my taxes finished and ready to mail....will take them tomorrow to post office to get the right amount of postage on the envelopes! Also, more bills to pay, then my dr's visit again with shopping to do, as I haven't been since Feb 4th....just didn't feel well enough to go shopping and have used up most of my extra food that needed to be eaten; therefore, will have a large shopping bill to pay when I do go...hopefully tomorrow or soon! Need a new phone to replace the low battery one! Also, will need to go to bank to withdraw more money to pay my mortgage due May 1st!! May God Bless! Amen!

Thanks for the comments, y'all. Photography is peaceful to me...whenever I am stressed I like to grab my camera and head out. Earlier in the week I was having a horrible day at work and instead of eating during my lunch hour, I went to the local park with my camera. God gave us wonderful things in nature and good eyes to see them with!

Thanks, Lisa. Don't get me started. I have 6000 pictures on my laptop...lol. Think that's a bit excessive? Thanks for the comments on my munchkin, I am partial to that pic myself!

Thanks, Ma! You are not alone where the dandelions are concerned. My yard is yellow! Travis put down fertilizer and I think it went straight to the dandelions, which have in turn choked out all the grass :( Please post some of your pics when you get a chance, we would ALL love to see them. Don't forget that you can take the girl out of the country, but ya can't take the country out of the girl!

Glad you have made progress on the taxes...I know that will make you feel better!

Thanks Liz, and, yes, to have my taxes done is a great relief and also when the house sold in Cuba, MO is closed on with a check in my hands wll be a relief! Tired of having to count every $ and Cents!

When I am able to do so and have the pics scanned into my Computer and ready to upload to the forum, I will try to get them posted! But mine are from the old Brownie, another camera...don't remember the name, and Polroid Cameras; therefore, the colors and background won't be as good as my Digital Camera....only bought it in the last few years and took me awhile to figure how to use and still have trouble when I don't use it often! Love the Digital pics....Beautiful!!!

Well, sounds like the Dandelions liked the fertilizer! I used to use weed and feed trying to kill the weeds along with fertilizing the grass, but did do a lot of dandelion digging....have a Common Ground beside my yard and get a lot of the blowing seedlings from it so difficult to keep them from starting and growing! Mom used to pick Dandelion greens and cooked them with other vegs and greens! Mom absolutely loved the farm but dad had to work both the farm and at a job (most of the time) in St. Louis, MO to supply our needs that the farm land couldn't! So, not sure he liked it that well, as he wan't raised on one of their own!

Grandma and family were so poor that they lived in shacks and did the best they could to keep on living! Was a much harder life than my brother and I had on the farm! They lived in Kansas and came by a wagon, pulled by two mules, to MO....life wasn't easy even when they got to MO as they had a two-room log cabin and had to clear the land for farming! They didn't have much to eat for 3 weeks until a neighbor brought them some potatoes and squirrels by borrowing their dog to go hunting with! I hope we never have to go back to those days of the 20's & 30's...even the 40's and 50's weren't that great but they were more peaceful and children were taught better then and not forced to learn all this other malarky that causes corruption and sinfulness!

Well, enough of that and May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty
