OK THE RUMORS ARE FLYING NOW

Boy oh boy I've been reading different forums & there are rumors that a new G2 with boost & iron volume is coming out. Fisher introduced a new machine in Europe called the F19. Why why why wouldn't FT let us in on the secret? This is coming from a digger who uses only FT metal detectors. I'm looking forward to a reply from the horses mouth on this one. We the loyal are waiting.

They should add a back lite display.

Hmmm!

n/t

I've checked Teknetics & fishers web sights and nothing is on them about new machines.maybe soon.

You know I'm not big on the NEXT new model from any manufacture because the very next model usually has a very small REAL gain in performance, if any at all. But to take a current model and add anything, dual headphone jacks, or a back lite display often time creates a Whole new model, maybe even a whole new line of units.
Back in the early 80" this year's top model became next year 2nd from the top and the current top model wasn't nothing more than last years top model with a few modifications. People then, like now get sucked into having to have, and can't wait for the NEXT model and the need to have it even before it comes out. If a new model isn't rumored by the manufacture then the public will start up some of their own just because its been a few months or a year sense something new has been released.

So, here is my take on the "Next New Model"

Don't expect nothing HUGE! they keep technology for the most part shelved and trickle them in a little at a time. They will NEVER!! give us all the have at one time! Never! if they do that then they can close up shop and just quick. The Old Teknetics company did that and what happened was they're was no place to go UP! (at lest for a long time) so they were left with creating down line models for something new to offer the public.

Never expect ALL the market hype about the new model, they need to do that, its good marketing to say the new model will search 6" deeper, discriminate better, and have much greater recovery speed. All of that in the field will be a mole hill not the mountain.

For me I've found that at least three or more model changes needs to happen before anything substantial really happens, sometimes that may be six or seven years.

I've chased the latest, greatest models for years before I figured out really how the marketing has to work in this industry. That means I'm really fine with being five years or more behind the NEWEST and greatest invention.

So, NO! I don't get all warm and fuzzy at some announcement of one simple model change.

But that's just me I'm sure.
