OK. This may be crazy, but can you water proof a Safari?

I mean, if you could, you would have an Excal with a few more freqs, notch disc. and some kind of display. Few more programs.
Not for anything deep, just to 10 feet or so, in case a rogue wave knocks you on your butt.
Might be cheaper than owning both machines.

I don't know, just a thought.

I mentioned to my Nephew, I was considering doing a similar project and prior to knowing it had been done. It was also going to be with my 705. I've sold it since and now have two Safari's and an Excalibur II. But I still find myself watching the classifieds, watching for a good deal on another detector and just for this project. I really dig tinkering with stuff like this. Guess that's why MDing is such a good fit for me. :thumbup:
