Today I was out for a bit. As I was digging a hole I saw that familiar "feet in my side vision" we have all encountered. I looked up to see a man, probably in his 60's say "any luck?" I told him not as of yet. He said he was heading over to the nearby park. He introduced himself and after hearing the last name I asked if he was related to a fellow named Ozzie. He said that was his brother. I then told him that his brother lived in the house next to us growing up, and I was good friends with his nephews. Long story short, we detected a bit together and will attempt to do so again. Funny how in life we run into people like this by chance. Make you wonder. Strange thing is in all the years detecting I have never run into another detectorist while I was out.

While deployed to the middle East in 1995 I just got off ship after being at sea for 30 days. (We were fired up and wanted to blow off some steam at the enlisted club) I was walking down the pier with some other jarheads and they noticed a guy apparently staring me down. My friends asked, "Do have a problem with our friend?" He said no and when he said this I looked over and saw it was my friend from high school." I also met a high school buddy who I had not seen in 3 years at a bar down in NC while in the USMC. Life sure is interesting.
Thanks for posting
Brandon
