This is the kind of stuff I find at my old sites and farm fields. Nothing worth posting.
The only thing that is at a premium where I hunt is old coppers. Now you see why I would like to trade sites for a week with you silver hounds

Great finds Bob. I don't find much jewelry because I spend the majority of my time looking for the coin hits on the SE. I spent two years on the EX2 and didn't dig much either. It took me the whole 2 years to learn but definately NOT master the EX2...then I go to the SE which is completely different...yet still the completely the same. I know that doesn't make sense...but it's how I feel. I'm glad I made the switch and love the SE. The SE was worth the change for me...just for the pinpointing alone...but then there's many more little differences that add up as well.
I've decided to work on different settings and different sounds when the weather gets here again in a few months. I am going to dig MANY more targets than I have previously dug. I know that's where the jewelry is...along with the nails, foil pieces, tabs, beavertails..and on and on.
I'm going to be spending a little more time with the SE and a little less time riding the Harley!
Happy Hunting

Okay I've heard that one before:crazy:I owned a Wideglide and a Low rider. Now I ride my SE :wiggle:

I just wish I could find one that fit me. I think it would be neat to wear a ring you found yourself.

Looks like a good year to me Bob! I think you need to dig some more of those trash numbers so you can get more yellow color in there :detecting:. Nice finds.

That's a nice pile of silver you harvested for sure.

The measure of what we get from detecting isn't just from how much metal we find is it ?

I'll bet there were lots of great days spent gathering that lot eh Bob!

Greetings NH Bob,
That is really a nice assortment. I plan on getting me a water machine this spring and hopefully will add to mine too. Keep up the good work and keep those photos coming. Happy Hunting Grounds,

Savage.

Even though you would rather have an older Silver Coin, Silver Rings are just as fun to find and they tend to be more interesting due to all the different designs and sizes used. And some can be worth a lot of money if you find some of the older type Rings. Pretty Good assortment if you ask me! WTG with all the Silver Rings and maybe next time you will find a real nice Seated or Capped Bust Coin to put all of us to shame. Good Luck and HH!

Hey man, nothing wrong with that stuff. As they say, "It's all good!" Silver, gold, lead...even CLAD if there's ENOUGH of it! It's just fun to be digging SOMETHING. But silver rings...no problem. I'd rather dig a silver ring that a silver Rosie or probably even a Merc. Now when we get to Barbers and Seateds, I'll take them. And unfortunatley, I haven't gotten beyond Seated yet...someday.

HI Bob,

Like you I seem to pick up more silver rings than gold perhaps silver slips off the finger easier that gold.
This is my lot for 2006 as well as around $1300 worth of clads so I guess it hasn't been all bad.

Regards....Boony

Still looking for that elusive gold engagement ring with a half carat diamond.
