OLD DALE MINING DISTRICT

Two weeks ago we went out gold crown rd to the virgina dale mine hoping to find some nuggets. the only thing we found was a good time. You can see in the pic that is one massive seam of quartz they were working. the other pic with the quartz on the hill side was very promising as there was some good color in the quartz showing it was laced with lots of minerals, I wish I had a big pick and shovel to work that hole. I had to copy the pics as the files were to large. We use our gmt first to see if there is any small gold & check the mineral content then go over the same area with the scorp looking for larger gold that is deeper.

Your right, it was more of an adventure than an outing, everywhere you look you see mines on the hillsides. so many places to run the scorp and not enought time. got to wait till it cools off and I'll be back.

Oh yeah!:super:Beautiful country!:thumbup:Nice pics!:clapping:Thanks for sharing!:wiggle:Best of luck to ya with the Scorp. Looks like fun. Looks like it's time to set up the drywasher:biggrin: Happy Hunting!:)
