Old Excalibur

Hello all! I have an old original Excalibur, the one with the horseshoe coil, which I haven't used in.......well a VERY long time. The batteries leaked and ruined the holder so I will have to do something about that of course before use. I do see some mods which some have done to the newer models and wondered if any of you have messed with the older model.....or even if it was worth the trouble versus just buying a new Excalibur II. I would appreciate your thoughts. Thanks in advance.

If it works keep it, some would argue that those were the best ones made!
I recently saw dead one on e-bay that was being sold for parts that went for over 400.00.

good luck!

Randy maybe the holder or pod could be cleaned out and a new battery installed.Be careful with the o ring.I had an Excalibur Sword that had a dead battery.I bought a new battery on Ebay to replace the one in the pod.Very easy to change and cheap I think around $40.00. Good Luck Ron

I know a guy that uses the old machine with the 8" horseshoe coil and he swears his is HOT HOT. Ive been in the water with his and seen him pull some small gold with it. The only mod he did was to the headphones... because the coil was just that good.
