old farm house relics,

whadda

New member
went out to an old farm house on the weekend and found these relics some were just on the top and collected bye our daughter,, the coin is our first pre decimal with the ace 250 it is a 1941 Australian penny, the house has been there for about 120 years , no one has lived there for some time so the grass was a real pain and the rubbish was really heavy in the ground, the soil is a black clay that cracks real bad when it gets as dry as it is here , and the holes seem to be 6 feet deep or more so digging is a careful process, I had one unknown target fall down one as I dug ,heard a tink kind of noise,(trying to tell myself it was not a coin) and then all the loose dirt fell down the hole , so was not going to dig the 6ft needed to get what ever it was back,,will try and get back in the next few weeks and take some pics of the house,

cheers Roger

Kool stuff whad My fav is the pocket knife:clapping:

yeh the pocket knife is cool all 3 blades are still there but only 1 can move

have ordered a sniper coil to try and fit through the rubish,, lots of wire and nails,, the army also had a training exercise here about 14 years ago and used the area around the old house as an out post, hence all the 5.56 (.223)blanks in the picture,

Nice hunt!:twodetecting::garrett:Cool old relics!:thumbup:You're gonna love that sniper coil.:happy:Best of luck to ya'!:biggrin:Happy Hunting!:)

Great finds!!!!

But, you MUST REMEMBER that if you take pictures of the old house, you will not be alone in hunting out the site.
It will draw all kinds of detectorists, probably those who do not fill in holes too. The ones with ethics will respect your
right to be the primary hunter/finder ........... the ones without - won't.

That has been my experience the couple of times I've revealed my prized sites in the past. Made me paranoid.

HH and good luck!
