Ok guys this is how it went..when I arrived was greeted by John and a 130 lb. German Shepard named Zeke(thank God Zeke wasn't hungry) The property is five arces John showed me around,...old cemetary last burial grave 1861 in the corner of a high bluff on a salt water river.....and then on to an old foundation...next old tabby house his grandfather completed in1917 the walls and chimneys are all that stands now older house on property location at his new home location excavation revealed old foundation bricks during construction.I got the detectors out of jeep showed John how to use the bhid he had a real cheap md at one time that one of the dogs chewed up the cable..He didn't really search but very little..WE started the search after about 30 min.his wife June arrived home...so now June helps John with the digging......I show them how to swipe a handfull of dirt under the coil for target location June hollers out.. I got..it I got it... John says June that your ring hand LOL....After a 4 hr. search we had found some old tools a lot of lead bullets tops to mason jars pull tabs cans alot of scattered iron....nails and even an older site I suspect...and then I found an old dump site old bottles and china got a nice little cork type bottle....We only covered a small amount of the property and didn't find anything really good maybe next time... I had a blast ...John and June are enthusiastic hunters and diggers ....It was a fun time they want me to come back any time and bring my wife Lana with me she would love to fish....Lana doesn't care a thing about MDing but she loves to look at my finds and supports me in it thank God...Its my main hobby you know lol ....I will repot on later about this... we know there has got to be some goodies there.... Good luck hunting to all.....God Bless.....Dan
PS.... I told John about some very good detectors he might want to buy like the garrett ace 250 I had and found some very good things with it about 3 years ago when I was getting back into the hobby.....I had a cheap MD years ago....I will tell you guys about a cache of coins I buried when I was about 12 years old with a note in side a mayonaise jar if you wanna read about it.

Sure would like to hear the story on your Mayonaise Jar buried treasure and the note! Sounds very interesting! Sorry you didn't find a whole lot this first time but with all that area to hunt, you are bound to come up with something nice sooner or later! Glad you get to hunt an old site, as that is where the older coins and relics are or should be! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty
