old relics and a little silver

Hunted a really old stone house today. I believe it was built around 1860. Really good targets were kinda scarce and there seemed to be a lot of mineralization or something in the ground. Running the f70 at Disc-15, DE, Sens 65, Thres 1, 3H. Dug up some old stirrups and iron tools. If anyone knows a way to date them please feel free to post. After about two hours of hunting I hit on a very faint signal 87-88 back and forth but nothing when turning 90 degrees. It was good enough one way for me to say what the heck. Glad I did! My oldest coin so far, a 1876 seated quarter about 8 inches! Hunted for about 5 hours and only found the one coin but it was well worth it. Also found what I think is a John Deere watch fob. Any info is appreciated.

Razor appears to be an old Gillette Superspeed. Gillette razors have date codes on the bottom, where the handle connects to the head. You could date it pretty easily if you are interested.

You are absolutely tearing it up. Not sure what part of KY you are in but you are hitting some killer sites. Congratulations!

Oops, I just remembered, 1940s Gillette Superspeeds did not have date codes on the base plate, an exception to the rule. If you don't see any codes on the base plate on either side of the handle, it probably was manufactured in the 1940s. Congratulations again!
