Old Road Finds

Had about an Hour to Kill yesterday . So I detected an old road leading to a Mill from the 1800's .
Found a 1880 IH , Button , Ball ,and a Brass heel plate .(Jerry AKA Tinfoil Says it's a Yankee boot plate and the Solder ( Yankee) was from the 24th Corps. No way to tell if it was 1st div, 2nd div, or 3rd div. as the 1st was red in color, 2nd was white and 3rd was blue )

Makes one wonder what else is laying along that road? The Indian Head looks to be in pretty good shape. The Button is a neat one also. Continued Good Luck and HH.:detecting:

Solder ( Yankee) was from the 24th Corps. No way to tell if it was 1st div, 2nd div, or 3rd div. as the 1st was red in color, 2nd was white and 3rd was blue. Later Jerry aka Tinfoil.

Yankee Boot plate .... That sounds better then what I thought it was . I figured it was a childs plate since it had a Heart on it . Thanks for the Info.
