some photos from around the church grounds. me in the main entrance way / arch way giving the church some scale. It is a big, beautiful structure.

Notice the lighter colored bricks in the shape of diamonds in the wall. That is the way the slave brick layers signed their work. This shape can be attributed to one of the plantations in the area that loaned their slaves in order for the church to be built.

Me at the original Pulpit. If the walls could only talk. William Bulls headstone at the foot of the alter. Don't believe he's interred there.

That place would definately, as oyu say, be worth yer while to go out o' yer way to see.

Also looks like a place that kids would 'dare' to spend time in at night.
