Old vs new

I just ordered a used Simplex from Backwoods Detectors.Been wanting to try one for yrs. Was wondering if there's much difference between the old and new other then bells and whistles. Thanks.

Mike, I was not impressed wit the original Simplex. Been so long ago I don't remember why. I recently bought the Ultra and am really enjoying it . It's a fun machine that's very impressive for the bucks. Like all detectors I wish it was lighter.
