Yes, that is him. The "uneducated" part is not true. He graduated from a 4 year bible college.

Hello crabby, I used to listen to the Gospel Hour on radio years ago and I am sure I have heard him! Thanks for telling us about him! I've gone to tent revivals also and don't know if he was the preacher in one of them or not! Always liked to go to tent or arbor revivals! God Bless! :angel: Betty
 
Thanks for the reply. I went to one of his tent revivals in the mid 60's. He helped lead me to the Lord.

I am a Methodist so his kind of preaching doesn't sit very well with most of the congregation; but I like it. We have an almost charismatic preacher and the folks are ready to run him out of town! I like him.

I'm responsible for coordinating a revival during Easter. Should be interesting.

For shame that they would want to run a spirit-filled preacher out of town when his kind of preaching they really need to hear and get their spirit moving forward in Jesus' holy light. I have heard good preaching ministers and some not so good, but hopefully all are called of the Lord to preach what He gives them for their cogregations, who're there on a specific day or night! God Bless! :angel:

kicking God's Holy Spirit out of church is not a safe thing to do. Some people get complacent and 'like things as they are'. They are the ones who don't trim their lamps waiting for the Lord's return and run out of oil and fall asleep, and have no light in them when the Master returns.
 
And may we all keep our lamps trimmed and filled with oil, for we know not the day or the hour we will be flying away to meet Jesus in the air and be forever with our Lord and Savior! Amen! God Bless! :angel:
