Omega 8000 ( 6 Version) First Time using it...

Works like a charm.. NO EMI ..very stable..No Id jump either....

Sens 70 .Disc to Zinc penny ............ Fast Grab GB ...in At mode ..then switched to disc mode for hunting.

Detector was so stable and quiet I thought it wasn't working right.... Wrong.. It was working perfectly.

It was that stable I swear.. Kept seeing same number on the screen and it didn't change ( No bounce) on numbers once locked in. I could not believe it held that stable between targets

6 pennies 2" to 8" 2 of the pennies were Canadian..One of those was 8" deep...

The 1908 Barber was 7" deep and locked on meter perfectly dead on the dime and didn't move ...

10" concentric ..I also have the 11" DD.

I was shocked at how stable this detector runs to be honest. I am familiar with the F75's, and T2's, that jump all over the place on numbers..crack pop etc constantly while swinging..

Yes It Does ..I see exactly what you mean now.. The lock on targets is awesome ............. The quiet detecting is a pleasant surprise too.. It really nails those silver targets for sure ........................... and no slouch on the copper either... I'm very pleased with the operation ........ and the depth seems darn good too. I would expect the 11" DD might even be a little deeper. I have not tried that coil yet..

Good one Elton! Now, the more you use it, the more quirks you will find it has, like hitting hard on medium sized gold rings. Have fun!

Those are some very nice coins,must admit i have always wanted to try a Omega8k especially after hearing how they are good at locking onto the numbers,my all time favourite machine is still the T2 but the numbers can bounce around,but they do settle down when its a good target though but when its iron then it really does start bouncing but its not a bad thing really as at least it gives you a better indication of it beaing iron.

Will try and see if i can use a Omega before buying one,trouble is i have 12 machines all ready
