Omega 8000 Question will it work on the beach wet and dry sand any info would help:biggrin:

fresh-water river beaches and coastal sand. No major problems to speak of with the fresh water sites, and while it can be a bit chattery at times with ocean beach hunting, a lot depends upon the negative iron mineral of the beach combined with the low-conductive wet salt areas. I've hunted without wanting to give up, but I know the NW Oregon beaches and the dense iron mineralization challenges I face so I use a mix of Ground Balance and necessary very low Discrimination to deal with both bad negative ground mineral and to reject low-conductive wet stuff, as needed.

Oh, I have used three coils and did okay with just the stock 10" elliptical concentric coil.
