Omega ID question

Can anyone tell me if the Omega can ID the difference between a Memorial/Wheat penny and a silver dime? Also the same between bottle/screw caps and quarters? I know the tone might be the same but wondering if the numbers tell a different tale?

Had mine out yesterday and I know the screen said Quarter but the shovel told me bottle cap...:yikes: I only have about 2 hours of use on the machine, but I like it a lot. I am sure as I get used to it I will be able to leave them for someone else to dig later... LOL

The wheat pennies will ring up like a dime. The zinc pennies will ring up as zinc. I really haven't paid attention to the difference between a silver dime and a regular dime because I have only found 1 silver dime.

sorry I can't help you more.

On my Omega a memorial/wheat penny will ID at or around 80/82 and a silver dime will usually ID between 84/85 in ideal conditions.
