Omega On The Way!

Ordered a new Omega 8000 with three coils and looking forward to using them this summer. I also have a XLT-e and hope these two will net a few treasures for me. Did alot of research and with light weight, balance, and depth being very important to me I decided on the Omega. I have shoulder problems of late and some of the poorer balanced machines are not a option for me anymore. Other than alittle emi issue it seems the Omega is a hard act to follow for coin hunting based on alot of reviews from users. Best Wishes & Happy Hunting to All. Joe

Your gonna like it better than the xlt. It has a faster processor than the xlt and it locks on to targets faster and you can swing the machine faster too. The DD coil is also a great match up to the omega and to me it was deeper than the XLT e series I had. The only issue I think you will encounter is like you said EMI as the whites handles that better and also bottle caps will make you kind of disgusted with the omega too because the xlt can identify them better as well. But all in all I got rid of my XLT when I received the Omega. Also the target VID number is pretty similiar to whites VID numbers too so coinshooting and cherry picking will be easy to get used to on the Omega. Have fun, Tim

I think you will enjoy the Omega. It is a great coin shooter. Give that 10" concentric a good try. It is a wonderful coil for semi trashy sites and doesn't like bottle caps as well as the DD's and gets near equal depth to the 11." Enjoy! HH jim tn

Too bad it's raining and rain is forecast for next 3 days. I'm going to try concentric first but also have the DD.

Good for you JaWi,that Omega will serve you well especially with the three coil combo. Its and excellent buy for all that pkg gives you and yes its the best coin detector I have used. The hard part is trying to decide which coil to use lol for each one of them is an excellent choice and have thier own place.Dont ever think that little 5 inch dd coil wont do the job for that little dog can hunt.It will truly amaze you.Enjoy the new Teknetics Omega,it will make you smile all summer long....Markmac
