Once again 'the thief comes to steal...'

Having worked for the hotel for nearly 2 years and recently being laid off (and told they would not bring me back to be a maintenance person) I went to apply for unemployment. Having, in those roughly 2 years, 2 different owners of the hotel it is apparent neither boss can be trusted...both are liars and thieves and dishonest...even when both call themselves Christians.

No record of ANY of my income has been reported by either these owners. So according to the Unemployment Office I will receive absolutely nothing as they cannot determine how much I made in order determine how much I should get. A percentage of nothing is nothing and that is what I will be getting - nothing.

I have to wait for paperwork to request a hearing. I have to prove to the Unemployment Office with the pay stubs I have kept that not only did I work for these crooks but how much I made that they did not report...and I have yet to get a W-2 from the hotel for 2009. So I have to go get it...something they should have had in my hands by the end of January.

So never trust people to do the right thing...even if they say they are Christians. We (Christians) will be known by our fruits. I have seen no fruits of the Spirit in these people...or those who voted for Obama.

Anyway, the thief is out there to steal and destroy. To Boomer's Dad, sorry I will not be going to the hunt this year unless God works it out. So far it doesn't look good. I do know God will meet our needs and I will never speak evil or curse God.

Did you get any pay stubs? I think they can get in big trouble for not reporting your income. Be sure to get statements or something from all the folks that knew you were working there. Even the bank people probably can help as you had to be cashing checks.

Pete, If you don't get any satisfaction from the hearing, contact our congressmen & women about the situation. Over the years there have been numerous times, when governmental agencies told me I didn't qualify for one thing or another. I didn't take it lying down and neither should you! I contacted 'ALL' of our congressmen & women and got the problems worked out. One example was about 2 years after I had contracted leukemia and my insurance company cancelled my policy, I was told I didn't qualify for social security disability. Our senators went to bat for me and two weeks later I had a social security check in my hands. Come to find out, the person working in the disability office of social security was a new hire and didn't know I qualified under special circumstances. For 2 years I lived on savings and received little or no help from the State of Michigan through FIA. It got so bad that, after social security came through, I essensially became a federalist, which means I willingly gave up any rights I had through the State of Michigan and, I have to tell you, it was one of the best decisions I ever made. The FIA, in my opinion, is a joke. The amount of frustration one experiences and the mountains of paperwork one must go through is absolutely rediculious. It wasn't bad enough I was going through chemo at the time, I had to constantly argue with them over benefits they were suppose to give me but didn't. For some reason or another, I kept falling between the cracks, as it were, when it came to qualification. I finally got with Senator Debbie Stabenow and she straightened the whole mess out but it was too little too late. You will be in my thoughts and prayers for your daily needs to support your family, as well as yourself. May God's Holy Spirit bless you with unemployment and all else that you need.

I do have most of my paychecks - not sure if I have them all. In the case of the India owners the slips they call stubs are just pieces of paper that must have been hand cut with scissors by a drunken sailor...nothing is uniform about them. Also none of them have YTD (year to date) totals for anything...including YTD Gross Pay and they never took out a penny for Federal Income Taxes.

I did get a W-2 from the previous owner and I scratch my head as the 'company' the checks are written by is not the same company that paid for Workmens Comp the first time I got injured...the name and the federal ID numbers do not match up = as if things are being hidden from 'company' to 'company' so they didn't have to claim taxes or as much.

I am so upset about all this. I have been pardon my French 'screwed over' by the government refusing to pay my retirement they promised and not receiving the awards and decorations due me and promised me by the Air Force from the U.S. Army. Not often an Air Force guy gets decorations from the Army and was supposed to be presented by a General and yet no General and the decorations were not the right ones and were taken away with promise of getting the right ones - which never happened. I am getting upset with 'friends' who used me to get money they needed and failed to repay. Upset with those who have used me and abused me over the years...including supposed friends and family.

I cannot say what I want to scream...it is far from Christian. It is also hard to keep my eyes on the future with God when yet again this kind of 'stuff' happens. Good thing I don't have weapons...I might be suffering from PTSD which the government said I don't have so they didn't have to do anything about that either. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

I am upset with doctors who fail to listen to people and give out diagnoses of things that are less than they are...Sherry should be on disability for a stroke...doctors only said she had a headache. Grrrrrrrrr. I could go on but I have to go get dressed...go to the hotel and see about getting my W-2 from them Indias. With it and with the other W-2 and with all my pay stubs I will be able to fight for my unemployment = until then God...maybe they do or don't know what they are doing or what those people have done so I ask you forgive them and help me to forget the past, keep me from going 'Postal' and meet our needs as you have done so many times before. Thank you Father...Thank you Jesus and Thank you Holy Spirit.

We talking about contacting the same Democrat congress person that pushed thru the illegal health bill? I am VERY familiar with the 'falling through the cracks' feeling. I am sure anyone in a congressional seat that is a Democrat sure cares about nothing other than lining their own pockets and saying 'to Hell' with the people we are supposed to represent.

We did once have a great Congressman when Bob Traxler was in office. He helped me fight the VA over educational benefits and got the money they owed me. I am still angry. Please forgive my rantings.

Dear Father in Heaven, I am praying in Jesus' name for Pete's problems and the circimstances this worldy gov't and the sinful people have done and are doing to him and his family! I know you are a prayer answering God and never leave nor forsake Your Children; therefore, You will not forsake Pete and Sherry in their times of trials and distress! I and, hopefully, others ask that You move in their lives and provide for their needs by moving the hearts of those who are either ignorant or don't care to get in the middle of the Workmen's Comp and do what is needing done for Pete, Sherry and other hurting people in this nation of America!

Many don't believe in You or they don't believe in Jesus, Your Son, or they don't care for others who are in desperate need of help and protection, You careth for all Your creations, for we are created in Your image, and when we love You, as we should, then we love one another in Your agape love! You are our everything and You will not leave us without food, shelter and our Brothers and Sisters-in-Christ, for You and them are our help when in need! We thank You, God Jehovah, Your Son,Jesus, our blessed Savior, and Your Holy Spirit sent to Comfort us when sorrows like the billowing sea waters overflow and will also keep our heads above water when we lean on, trust and obey, and our hope is in Your blessed hope with grace and mercy surrounding us with provison and protection from all enemies!
