One coin hunt

shooter

Member
Grounds thawing in North Jersey, got this one yesterday, it's from Can. By the looks of the boat side I think there might be another coin in that hole, that green ring was pretty clear when i dug it up, going back to check it, i remember exact where it was. 1843 New Burnswick Half Penny (CAN)

shooter. cool looking old coin ! really like the ship on the coin. the weather forecasters are calling for the fifties this weekend here in pa . I am also hoping for the ground to thaw and Spring ! Ezra.

I've been hunting the woods, leaves and pine needles keep the ground from freezing.I don't believe those weatherman, but they could win the lottery and get it right.

Very cool find! That's something you won't find out here on the west coast. Looking forward to some good hunting this spring and summer. I have a couple of weeks off in July that I'm going to eastern Washington state, and hunt a few old deserted farms I know of from when I grew up there. :detecting:

Nice Find. It does look like another coin was in the hole with it. If you go back and check the hole and don't get a signal,go ahead and redig the hole. The coin may now be on edge. Congrats!

Dug a crater around it but nothing came up, I did noticed a lot of small flat stones about quarter size , maybe it was laying on one of them, who knows.........

Shooter that is one cool coin..........hh rick in mi.
