One good old indian made my day at the end of the hunt...

I swung that heavy SEF coil for hours trying to get a good old deep silver coin or indian. I did manage some wheats from the teens and a 1908 V nickel. Then I put on the X-8 and did a slow scan of some trashy areas. Down about 6 or 7 inches was an indian giving a real faint signal. I was real glad to see it was an 1875 to end the day with a 134 year old coin! It's well circulated but at least it's not rusty!

I guess that proved depth isn't everything sometimes..seperation in junk can pull some nice coins... Good job.
 
nice finds , i got a new coil for mxt , hope to be back in id, & go hunting again , give you a shout, just leave a few coins for me ,, hh.
