One Lonely Indian

Old Longhair

Crazy Ol' Foole
Staff member
Went out back to the old foundation again with the :coiltec:15" 3kHz All Terrain. I had planned to hit the fields again, but the wind was fierce earlier so I stayed in the brushy wooded area nearer the home site. Aside from the usual zinc mason jar lids I dug a piece of saw blade, a wood chisel, another ax head, a hoe head, an old shovel head, piece of a harmonica reed plate, a square nail that was in really good shape (not a rusty lump like they normally are), and a lone 1890 Indian Head....my first of the year.

Cool part is, that I know a living descendant of the family that originally built the place in the early 1850's.
