One month in the park

After only on month of hunting in the park I have removed a good bag full of clad that I chocked down the coin star today then took the wife to lunch. Although it was only a cheap lunch at the local taco shack, I was still proud of the haul. I could only force feed 14.79 in the machine it kicked out a lot of the zinc penny's, but still yet it took many. I laughed the whole time I pushed it down into the machine. I hated to pay the fee but I figured I didn't have anything else to do with 200 zinc penny's my totals were 250 penny's, 20 quarters, 58 dimes, 31 nickels, 6 wheats, silver dime, sixpence, 20 centavos, 1 14k gold ring. Guess I will have to retake the pic of the goodies since the file was too big.
I have used both 11dd and 6.5 coils this month I found the 6.5 doesn't false as easily as the 11dd does when you turn the sens and thres up, although you get less coverage and depth it's still a very handy little coil which has its benifits. I like the 11dd for the f70 though its a beast you can really cover ground with it, also taken Muds advice and ordered a new lower shaft from kellyco detectors which will add 6 inches to my swing. My settings were disc 22, sens 60, thres -03

Nice haul and a smart move to take the Mrs. out to lunch with it!

Gosh thats a stinky pile of clad! :surprised::rofl: I dont know what we would do without the Coinstars...this clad is so trashed and dirty I've tried everything to tumble, clean and shine it up with no real good results...some results get most of it presentable, but it takes time and effort. Last year I tumbled, washed and polished, rolled, etc...even hammered flat the bent coins!. So this year I've just been tossing all the dirty into the Coinstar, and all the fresh drop shiney gets spent usually on the same day found. It would be cool to save up clad and buy something like old silver and gold coins...I know a some of the other fellows do that. Thats nice work there, and I bet that lunch with the Wife bought by you with money you hunted, made you feel good in some sort of primal way..!

Not quite like deer hunting does, but yes I felt pretty good about it, and I want her to see something does come from all those hours being gone lol
