One more time about the Platypus

I keep getting emails asking if the Platypus is waterproof, how much does it weigh, what's it look like, so here is a repost.
This coil is in the prototype testing stage right now, however, here are a few of the highpoints.
This coil is a DD PRO elliptical, measuring 11 1/2 X 8 1/2 inches. The DD with the PRO designation is a new coil electronics design that is a COILTEK innovation. We have been using the PRO design in the GP gold coils with outstanding results.
The coil is completely waterproof, and weighs only 20 ounces. We are even working on getting that weight down a bit, as the production model will not be as thick in the middle.
Right now, with any luck it looks as if we may have the first bunch of production coils in the first week of March.
The results of field tests in Australia have been great.
We will have to see what our American experts say!
Here's a picture of the prototype.

Whatever works...looks like a nice designed coil and like the idea of cutting down the weight as an Explorer has always been nose heavy.Stock 10 inch serves me well but perhaps a change is warranted..

1 year.
Guess change is warranted here.(as soon as the chief says funds are available) if ya know what I mean.. <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)">

In case anyone missed the post below, I posted some info on the Platypus coil in the field.
