It packs up so nice! Fits in your suitcase. Next year I am taking it to Mexico.

John you are right about that. Plus it is well made. I went to AZ last year and the TSA folks looked at my 5000 and just threw it back in the suit case didn't rap it back up like I had it. At least it will not travel by airplane again. I will travel with the ATX I think it will be TSA proof.
John, don't close the suitcase yet.....you forgot to pack the sling.... for me, that is the best add on I have every gotten from a detector manufacturer. It just plain works and you can swing that ATX forever. I hope Garrett makes them available for sale.....I bought another brand sling for my CTX and it just doesn't work as good as the Garrett sling.
