Opinions on Coin Strike and why...

was it discontinued? Is the learning curve really 30-50 hours? It looks like a very interesting machine. I just want to know if it's worth the time it takes to learn it. Also how does the depth compare to the F70 or F75? Thanks for any info from anyone that has put in the hours on this machine.

and never recovered+people did not know it needed a faster sweep to work better. The learning curve was
not long and it worked well in pulling coins out of iron. A VERY good detector.
[And is that a RM-7, or a Coin Magnum pictured?]

Thanks for the replies, by the way that's an RM-6. I've got a Compass Relic & Coin and it works very well discriminating iron. I was interested in the Coin Strike because it looks to do the same, with updated circuitry. I'm just wondering about the learning curve on the machine and if it was worth putting the time into it.

Thanks,
Gary

Especially now, that I see them going for prices in the $300. range.....:surprised:
This was like a $900. detector. Has some quirkiness, but is really good locking onto coins. The number will stick and not move. Built solid, & loves round items, better on high conductors, than gold......has an array of coils available, and I still keep one in my trunk with a small 5 in. coil for trash....
check out the:
"Coinstrike homepage"
if you have not yet. Lots of good info there....
