Ordered a new Deus XP-----Best program to start with?

I ordered a new XP today, and was wondering what program is the best to start out with? I currently have a AT Pro,and run it in Pro Zero mode,No discrimination. Will the XP be hard to learn after getting used to the ATP? I mostly coin shoot, and one of the reasons I wanted the Deus XP was from reading about it's ability to find coins in trash filled areas. Any advice will be appreciated! Ron

Andy's program from the link below is great for coins. Just find a relatively clean area to hunt at first, so you don't get overwhelmed by too many signals. Whatever program you choose, don't max out the sensitivity while learning the Deus.

Coming from another AT Pro user, there were some that definitely took some getting used to. It will depend on what you're particularly attached to in the AT Pro that will drive that adjustment for you. The Deus likes bottle caps like the ATP, but the silencer function in v3 really helps.

Thanks,Rich! I ran the ATP in Pro Zero Mode,0 discrimination 99% of the time. I hope the Deus has a program similar to the ATP in Pro Zero Mode?

I have been a ATP user since they were released and continue to run them for my freshwater hunting. I used the same setup from day one PRO Zero, 0 Disc. V2.0 of the XP was nothing like the ATP. Now with V3.0, you have more tweaking and audio choices and if you do alot of playing with settings I can see it could somewhat be set up to act like an ATP. Instead of trying to make it act like an ATP, I would just learn it for the machine it is....which is one Bad Mama Jama!! I have Andy's program in one slot and have run it and tweaked it alittle more to my hunting needs. I personally like a slightly tweaked version of the stock Deus Fast. Oh and try multi-tones...that REALLY made a difference for me!! That's the great thing about this detector, you can tweak it every which way and now we have all those available slots to save our creations.:clapping:

Thanks,Diggin-it! I've been reading everything I can find about the Deus. I've seen a video of the Deus using the multi-tones,and thought that's the way I'd like to have it signal! Ron
