ordered my new sniper coil :super: would love to hear some stories about it, and any tips:pulltab:

Try it at some playgrounds. Swing that coil parallel long metal equipment, close to metal support poles and underneath play equipment. That should get you some targets unattainable with larger coils.

For schoolyards, hunt real close to those chain link fences, places where people threw there jackets and lost coins. That should get you some more finds.

For relic hunting, search in the woods along trails, especially along creeks. If you find an area littered with deep bottle caps, work it slowly. You should be able to get some coins close to the rusted bottle caps. Don't forget to stomp on those caps, as some will change their tone to from iron to coins.

Do run with as much sensitivity as possible. Do run with the least amount of discrimination as possible. Do dig those iffy signals, as it costs you nothing to figure out what it is under that coil.

Below are a couple of hunts using my sniper coil on the ACE and the GTI 2500:

I used to be a big fan of doing the bark chip areas under play equipment with mine. My touchy back limited this later in 2008. If your knees and back can handle prolonged periods in cramped spaces, crawl around in the cubby holes and tight spaces with the small coil disconnected from the lower rod (still connected to the main unit of course) and use it in your palm as sort of a wide swath pinpointer. Keep sensitivity fairly low around 3-4. I did this at a place right after I hunted it using the stock coil and got almost 70 extra coins plus a ring.

As John mentioned, hit those fences and poles you have had to neglect too.

Chris

PS My back feels great today even after moving a bit of the white stuff. Maybe I'm over that hump.

what type of hunting are you doing i"m a new convert i used it for finding new cash in heavy trash but a couple of days ago i used it to hunt old silver in a junky spot & it surprised me at how much it found even out of the junk so i"m going to use it more often just look at my last post i found a 1818 silver spoon at 1 foot deep.

G'day Travis.
I would have to describe it as the perfect coil for hunting around metal. Max out the sensitivity for best results. It sounds counter intuitive, but works best this way. If you want to get coins that other machines can't, then if you don't mind hunting without discrimination, then hold down the pinpoint button and tilt the coil ever so slightly nose down, as this will allow you to hit targets within half an inch of a metal pole. As the coil is a coaxial one (double shielded) when the pinpoint button is engaged, it doesn't give off a signal to the side or above the coil. This means also, that you can hunt directly under metal parts as well! I have found coins while the top of the coil is in direct contact with the metal above by use of the pinpoint button! There are very few coils out there that can do that.
Have fun with it.
Mick Evans.

You're in for a lot of surprises. You can now hunt junk infested areas plus all the others already mentioned.
