After a few weeks of reading and studying I have decided to order the CTX3030 along with the 6" coil today.. My thanks to (Evan) gone hunting and Russell REM for helping me with my decision and all the time they spent answering my questions.. Now if I'm capable of conquering the learning curve is yet to be seen..

Also thanks to Andrew at New England Detectors for the best deal I could find from all the vendors..
Thanks to you all.
HH...

If you have not owened a Minelab before I highly recommend you get the book - The CTX 3030 Beach and Water Hunters Guide by Gary T Drayton - it will let you understand how to use the detector so much faster. I got a ctx 3030 a couple weeks ago and read & re-read the Minelab Instruction Manual but was having a hard time putting things together. I got the book and read it and it was just like snapping a finger, things start coming together on how to use it.

It's a great machine for sure. I find it a lot more stable as well it weighs more than the etrac but being balanced it feels lighter. I am convinced once you think you know the ctx you then learn it can do that to wow!! I ran mine over my test garden and the FE co numbers were more consistent as well. The only draw back is for me no in line probe the x1. One of my Friends I hunt with sscindercoop who I consider to be one of the best with the etrac said I'm not seeing the big difference at first now says this machine is awesome and has paid for it self.
Congrats for sure you will love it.

Thanks guys,
I appreciate all the tips and comments..

@Steve and NED..
At 9pm eastern time I got a call from Andrew at New England Detectors so that he could get my paper work processed and know that my CTX would be shipped out today... On every occasion working with Andrew he has always gone above and beyond what you would expect fom any vendor.. He took his time to go back in to work after running some errands to make me a happy customer.. Although I felt bad that he was still working that late that's the way he has always treated me and all my friends he has helped with their purchases... Not only his concern for his customers he has always given me a price that I have never been able to match with any other vendor.. I would say if you haven't purchased through them at least give them a shot... I know you will be pleased with the service but you will also be happy with their prices..

Also thanks to all you guys and gals on this forum for your help as well..
I've learned a lot from all the threads and videos here and know it will help me to learn the machine..I know I will have many questions, but I know there will be members here with the answers..

HH to you all..
