ORX headphone question.

I know the coil light flashes when not in use. But does the WSA headphones light also flash when the detector isn't in use?
 
In the manual it says that cutting the remote off automatically shuts off the headphones but I still have a flashing light on the wsa headset. I am just wondering is this normal for the light to be flashing?
