Our Annual Club Silver Hunt.:detecting::detecting:

Hey Everyone, Our club (PTHHA) Pensacola Treasure Hunters and Historical Association held it's annual silver hunt Saturday. Consisting of over $1,400 in seeded silver coins. My brother Sunzabeach is the hunt master. The hunt had 18 specially decorated silver coins, that were quarters and dimes. So whoever found any of them, would trade them for tickets for the prizes. He wrote each prize down on a piece of paper and placed them into envelopes. The duplicate ticket was placed into a can. As each ticket was drawn, you had your choice of any envelope you wanted to choose. Their fore that would give everyone an equal chance for the nicer prizes. There was a 2 1/2 dollar gold coin, a 2 1/2 gold peso coin, Timberwolf head phones, Sunray pro head phones, pin pointers, stainless beach scoop, etc. My trusty Explorer led me to 4 silver dollars, 6 half dollars, 16 quarters, and 16 dimes. Also one quarter and one dime was the special ones. I ended up getting the sunray pro headphones and a carry box with coin probe, nice root cutters and digger. The seasoned dectorists in the club routinely targeted the dollars and halves bypassing the quarters and dimes. Well needless to say, that was not the case this year. Happy Hunting Grounds

Well Savage - and also a bit for our Huntmaster, Sunzabeach, I also congratulate you all (club Members) for a nice hunt last Saturday. As a fourth member of a group with Savage, Sunzabeach, I - Krusty and Cadillac. we hunt together at least once a week or more. Savage - aka "The Silver King" was took by a small margin during the Silver hunt for total. He finds ever so much more in the raw - Silver in the field - but he lost out for most Silver during the seeded hunt (less than a dollar loss) - however - we did go to a spot afterwards since we were still in the hunting frenzy - and damn if he didn't find a 55 Rosey within two minutes for the rest of us finding only clad, go figure the Silver King. Since I have running bet with Savage for the oldest coin find of the day (dollar bet), I did out hunt him during the Silver Hunt, but with the "taking" of my dollar for the 55 Rosey - the day even out anyways.

Cheers to all for a Great Hunt last Saturday, and great hunting for all.

I attend every Club Hunt that my Club has every year and they are a lot of fun. Get to hang out with the detecting buddies and even get to hunt with them after the Hunts are over. Great Tasting Food and out with the Bud's is what it is all about. You did pretty well. How many detectorist's were in attendance? Also love bringing home more Silver to Hoard away and add to a growing collection. Good Luck and HH.:detecting:

Well said James. We had 35 Club Members in attendance for the hunt. The fresh steamed hot dogs and the opened camp fire was a comfort. As for hording, that many coins were a nice addition to my stash. Silver prices are $12.73 per oz, so that equated to approx $122 dollars in silver. Thanks James. Happy Hunting Grounds,

Savage.:clap:
